Acer TimelineX 4820TG
4820TG has brushed aluminium lid albeit which is in a darker shade of grey. The glossy 14inch screen produces an impressive viewing angle which is good for watching movies, typing and surfing the web.
The keyboard has a textured matte surface and some traction. The buttons under the screen is a rather utilitarian-looking row which houses the speaker grills, the power button, hard disk activity indicator, PowerSmart button and also optical drive eject button.

The palmrest area is quite spacious to make you comfortable when working with it. However, the palmrest becomes a bit warm with prolonged usage.
The notebook also has a multitouch touchpad which can zoom in and out as well as a circular motion for scrolling. To disable the touchpad, just press Function + F7 key combination.
For the graphics, it comes with an Intel GMA HD graphics and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics processor. In order to save power, the more powerful ATI Radeon will switch automatically to the power efficient Intel graphics chip.
