Have you ever heard on SMSSyncUp application? This tool can upload or backup all your SMS to Gmail. You will need a Gmail account for you. You can create your account here.
First of all, you will need to download this application. If you want it now, download at the bottom of the post. Then, choose your Gmail account that you had created. Open the application and fill the ‘Send To’ space the Gmail ID which you want to backup your SMS.
Go to the Menu ‘Login’ and it will enable the SMS folders to dropdown with all your SMS folders. Then, select the folder that you want to backup. Go to the Menu ‘Sync SMS Folder’ and it will start to convert the messages to mail format (the progress will be displayed). A prompt will appear asking you if you want to sync.
You will then receive emails with subject IMAPSMS <FOLDER NAME> : Sender and the body will contain the messages and the time. In v0.6, many new things had been updated like option to sync all folders is added and option to delete messages older than specified date after sync is also added.

If you want to do some scheduling, log in to your Gmail account and select the messages that you want to sync. Then, go to ‘Menu’, ‘Schedule’ and set the time that you want. Click ‘Set’ and it will appear the schedule that you want.
If you want to de-schedule, click ‘De-Schedule’. Default limit per sync in one time is 50. If you want to change it, go to ‘Menu’, ‘Message Limit’ and enter the number that you want to upload per sync.
If you want to sync your old SMS that you have already synced it, you will have to delete id.text file from the installation folder. Please be noted that you must be online everytime you want to sync.
