Macromedia Fireworks is one of the products of Macromedia. It is an image editing software. Macromedia Fireworks 8 is the latest version for this software. If you are a beginner, this software is recommended for you because the settings are more simple than other softwares.
Fireworks 8 allows you to create and optimize images for the web with precise control in a customizable environment. It can help you to strike the balance between maximum image quality and minimum compression size. It uses visual tools to ease you to create quality graphics and animations without having to learn codes.
With this software, you can edit photos, texts, logos, pictures and other images to make them look cool and interesting. This software is also used to produce banners, posters and buntings. It supports almost all formats of pictures including JPEG, GIF, PNG, PSD, RTF, SGI, TIFF and others. You can also set up the size, the resolution and the colour of the canvas.
Fireworks 8 supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and also Macintosh Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4. It does not support anymore OS earlier than the OS listed.
The feature of this software is it is a multi-lingual application. It can display the user interface for all supported languages including English, German, Italian, Japanese and etc without reinstalling the application. If you have installed the application, you can change it by going to your Fireworks 8 application folder and click at “Changing Languages on Windows”. Furthermore, if you are using Internet Explorer 5, the CSS pop-up menus do not display correctly. So, it is suggested to use newer version of browsers that supports CSS pop-up menus.
